All issuesThe mother who speaks for us
In Sri Vaishnava temples the nine nights of Navaratri belong to Thayar. At Srirangam, Sri Ranganayaki receives devotees in her golu mandapam each evening, and at Tirumala the Navaratri Brahmotsavam runs to Vijayadasami. As the festival ends, the thirunakshatrams of the first three Alwars begin: the Alwars who lit the first lamps of the Divya Prabandham and, by their light, saw the Lord with Thayar.
